ENNIS LIONS CLUB SPONSORS ANNUAL PEACE POSTER CONTEST
The Ennis Lions Club is proud to announce its sponsorship of the annual Lions International Peace Poster Contest, inviting local students to showcase their artistic talents and express their vision for peace. This year’s theme, “Peace without Limits”, encourages young participants to imagine a peaceful world through their creative lens.
The contest is open to students aged 11-13. Participants use a variety of mediums, including charcoal, crayons, pencil, and paint, to design their posters, which are judged on originality, artistic merit, and expression of the theme.
The Ennis Lions Club selected one winner to represent the community at the district level, with the opportunity to advance to international competition. The international grand prize winner will receive $5,000 and a trip to a special awards ceremony at the Lions Day at the United Nations. In addition, runners-up will be recognized for their outstanding creativity.
“Art has the power to bring people together, and this contest provides our youth with a platform to share their dreams for a better, more peaceful world,” said Lion Jim Forsberg, Chairperson of the Ennis Lions Club Peace Poster Contest. “We’re always excited to see how the students interpret this year’s inspiring theme.”
The Ennis Lions Club awarded 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards for each grade level that participated and all the students’ peace posters will be displayed at the Ennis Post Office.
